I am flying Austrian Airlines (a Star Alliance member) today to AMS via VIE, and my partner is Star Alliance Gold so we are able to enter this lounge together.

The lounge itself is small and the food offerings the same, but the staff are friendly and the ambiance is nice, with ‘real’ music playing through the speakers.

I have the spicy vegetable soup and a selection of the salads on offer (no hot food other than the soup or meat dishes) which are ok and a cup of decaffeinated packet coffee granules.

I spend my time surfing the net and reading some of the English language newspapers.

After a little over an hour I am bored (partner has already left) so leave as well to wander around the airport until my flight is ready for boarding.
