I am sitting in the back section of the upper deck on this Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 aircraft bound for Singapore in Business Class seat 96A.

I decline a pre-departure drink, opting to start my service after take-off, and start with a SilverKris concoction of vodka, orange liquor, Champagne, and soemthing else. Soon after, the meal service begins, and I again decline the appetiser as I don’t like melon or Parma ham.

I have pre-ordered the Salmon with Lemon cream sauce, green beans, squash, and pasta, and it is delicious. I pair this with 2 pieces of garlic bread and a glass of Riesling which is a little dry.

For dessert I have both the chocolate cake and caramel ice cream, which I enjoy with a 1/4 glass of Baileys.

During dinner I watch the new Elvis movie and it is brilliant. A quick nap in full-bed follows, and then my second movie (the new Jurassic Park) and meal service – a seafood and rice dish with another cocktail, the signature Singapore Sling.

We land ahead of schedule.
