A great (and most probably) final stay at this landmark Singapore Hotel before it transitions to new management sometime later this year.

Upon check-in I am warmly greeted with a sincere, ‘welcome back’ and assigned an upgraded Executive Plus room on the 22nd floor of the hotel. This is probably the largest room before the Suite. It also has a large balcony.

As I am staying here to celebrate my partner’s birthday, there is a card and HAPPY BIRTHDAY stencilled across the bed. Later a bottle of Champagne and small box of Hilton chocolates arrives, courtesy of the hotel.

It is a work day for me and I’m happy with the spacious work desk and premium complimentary Diamond WiFi offered to guests on the Executive Floor.

Evening cocktails and canapés are served with delighted smiles from the staff and no less than 3 come to greet us.

The next morning before an early breakfast, we use the gym for an hour or so and then make our way down to the main restaurant for an a la carte complimentary breakfast. Again, the staff are a standout.

We are given a late 3pm checkout which we don’t utilise, and check out for the last time at this hotel. Looking forward to trying out the new Hilton Orchard Hotel opening it’s doors soon.
