I am sitting in middle aisle-access seat 49D on this B787-10 Singapore Airlines flight bound for Taipei. It is modern, sharp, streamlined, clean and reasonably comfortable.

The service is excellent compared to recent SQ flights I have been on, with one male flight attendant, Saiful Anwar, in particular, a standout with a continuous ear-to-ear smile for the entire 4-hour flight. He is highly attentive, and you can tell he thoroughly enjoys his job.
The cabin is not 100% full, and I am lucky to have an empty seat next to me, giving me more room to stretch out and relax. The built-in USB port is a godsend as my phone battery is running low.
I watch ‘Late Show’ whilst eating my meal. The movie is good, the lunch isn’t. A very hard uncooked Penne pasta (I don’t eat), Roast chicken with Tarragon Jus, vegetables, and mashed potato (it’s OK), and a stale wholemeal bread roll. My Singapore Sling comes about 20 mins after I order it. A small cup of chocolate ice cream is passed around after the meal.

We land ahead of schedule.
