Hotel Review: Elements of Byron Bay

More of a resort than a hotel, my family has booked a number of self-contained villas in this bushland eco-retreat on the outskirts of Byron Bay to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday.

My partner and I have a Deluxe Villa with lounge room, free-standing bath, and king-sized bed.

The surrounding bushland is quite beautiful and there is also a beach where morning yoga classes are held daily. An adults pool with a Mexican theme (food and drinks-wise) is popular with a few loud Aussie guests during the day, so we try the main pool area which features a spa as well.

Breakfast is included each morning and although not ‘huge’, has a good selection of high quality healthy options to choose from. The breakfast area is converted into a restaurant for. lunch and dinner with a reasonably good menu of Australian fare.
