Hotel Review: Hilton Taipei Sinban, Taipei

I have been waiting a long time for a Hilton to open in Taipei, and finally I have the chance to try it out. Although I have booked the cheapest category room, a Standard Twin, upon check-in, as an Hhonors Diamond member, I have been upgraded to a King Premium Suite on the the top (31st) floor of the hotel.

This hugely oversized studio room is 71 sqm, with a separate living area, huge bathroom with claw bathtub, 2 basins, and is fully automated (even the curtains open and close at the touch of a button).

There is a lovely welcome gift from the General manager including a bottle of red wine.

Our Diamond status is warmly acknowledged at breakfast time as well with a small plaque denoting our status placed on our breakfast table.

Complimentary evening cocktails and not canapes but a huge buffet spread of hot and cold dishes is served each evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, very generous in comparison to other Hilton Hotel brands we have recently stayed at.

The only letdown is the gym – there is no much equipment unfortunately, but the view from the windows is exquisite. The outdoor pool is also lovely, but too cold to use during my stay.

Service overall is exceptional – not bad for a hotel that has only been open for about 3 months.

On my next trip to Taipei I will definitely be staying here again.
