Long story cut short, I received a 6 month trial Gold Status with Air NZ thanks to a Qantas status match, allowing me access to any Star Alliance lounge. Today I have chosen this lounge and glad with the choice I made.

The food is quite good, and I enjoy a variety of it, ranging from Pad Thai, to Dim Sum, chicken Massaman curry, mango sticky rice, and even a white chocolate and almond Magnum ice cream.

As I think the upcoming flight to Taipei is a little over 3 hours, I decide to have a shower using the lounge facilities. It’s pretty much on par with CX’s The Pier facilities at HKIA, and has L’Occitane products for use.
