A very depressing lounge at first sight – dark, in need of refurbishment, and zero atmosphere. But as it turns out the food is pretty good, well the avocado anyway, and the Rwandan beer. All other alcohol is chargeable.

I enter with my boarding pass as I am flying Business class on Kenya Airlines but Priority Pass members can also join.

I am here with friends so time goes quite quickly and we eat, chat, and reminisce about our trip. The avocado is the sure winner. There are also crepes and hot African stews and other delicacies in the warming dishes.

After about 90 minutes or so we leave to board the gate.
