After a smooth check-in I make my way to a beehive single desk/chair hub, charge my iPhone, and make a beeline towards the food. A good selection of hot and cold dishes and a choice of 3 additional a la carte choices. I take a bit of sticky rice, chicken, and order the Duck Stew, which is more of a duck soup. A small pudding, Taiwanese mandarin, and a glass of wine finishes the meal off well.

As my phone is near-empty, I spend more time than I usually would in the lounge charging it, whilst reading today’s edition of the Canberra Times on my iPad.

After about 45 mins I leave and take a short stroll around the airport before making my way to the gate.
