The American Express Lounge at Sydney International Airport is a great place to enjoy a good meal, with friendly service, for free! There are about 12 different types of Amex card that get you entry and although I left all of my Amex cards at home, my partner had his so we could enter. On first attempt though, the lounge is full, and the staff take our tel number to contact us when there is availability. About 15 mins later the call comes and we make our way over.

After showing the card again and our boarding passes, we enter and I am initially impressed by the wooden hues and bright ambiance. We find a spot, pop out bags down, and then make our way to the buffet. There is a very generous selection of hot and cold food and even a dedicated barrister to make delicious coffees (I have 2 ‘double Macchiatos’). There are freshly squeezed juice mixes and I go for a parsley, cucumber and ‘something’ green detox mix. Lovely.

All in all I am very impressed with this lounge and it is a fantastic perk of having ‘The Card’ at Sydney Airport especially when you have no airline lounge access.
