Upon check-in I am told my booking hasn’t been paid for but I have via @booking.com and after producing receipts and credit card payment the truth is revealed.
This is a great hostel cum hotel in the centre of Jerusalem, a few minutes walk to the Jaffa Gate of the Old City. It is clean, modern, and serves an awesome breakfast.
Our room is a triple with ensuite, and is very basic with limited amenities but does functions well as a place to sleep and rest after strenuous days exploring the city.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, and as it is part hostel, the guests are young and from a variety of backgrounds that have come to visit the Holy City for countless reasons.
The highlight for me is the breakfast – lots of variety and even individual Shakshuka is served and do-it-yourself freshly squeezed orange juice.
I would recommend this hotel as a cheap alternative to an otherwise very expensive city.
