Hotel Review: Conrad Hong Kong

Possibly one of the best views I have had from any hotel room I have ever stayed at.

After checking in, we are personally escorted to the Executive Lounge on the 59th floor where we are offered coffee and a place to keep our bags whilst we wait for our room to be ready for an early 1pm check-in. During our waiting time we use the outdoor pool and sauna/steam room before receiving our key cards to our room

We are extremely fortunate to be upgraded to a King Executive Harbour Suite, which is essentially a huge 70 sqm 2-room corner room with separate living room on the 55th floor with insane, sweeping views of both Hong Kong harbour and the mountains. Utterly stunning.

The room (and our Diamond status) also gives us access to afternoon tea and evening cocktails in the Executive Lounge which is personalised with lovely staff offering us drinks and keeping our glasses full without asking. And the view……….

A delighful surprise awaits upon our return to the Suite after cocktails and canapes in the Lounge with a birthday cake, chocolates, fruit basket, and cards from the hotel staff wishing me a happy birthday.

For breakfast the next morning we choose to eat in the lobby restaurant (we could also eat in the Lounge) which offers a wonderful array of delicious delicacies served by warm, friendly staff.

A wonderful last stay as a Diamond member. Today, April 1st marks the end of 5 straight years as a Diamond member – unfortunately I could not stay the requisite 30 stays last year and from today I am downgraded to Gold status.

Luckily my partner is Diamond until 31st March 2018!
