This is the better of the 2 lounges by Gate F, or so I’m told by the reception as I mistakenly enter the Business Class lounge. “You have access to the bigger First class lounge” he tells me. Ooh, the benefits of being a supplementary card holder to my partner’s JCB platinum card 😜.

So I make my way to the First class lounge and it is indeed larger, but quite empty. Not that that is a problem.

There is a nice assortment of food; I grab a mini pancake freshly made from the machine and top it with maple syrup, pineapple, fruit yogurt, and a coffee.

I don’t use the wifi voucher I receive as I have oodles of gigabytes on my local phone plan which is fast enough.

Being so early in the morning as I wait for my 7.30am boarding call, this little oasis is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of BKK airport.
