Hotel Review: Pullman Hotel G, Bangkok

Upon entering the lobby I am thinking a Aloft meets W meets funkier DoubleTrees. It is alive, almost electric, with a flurry of activity all around.

Check-in is smooth, and I am allocated a large Deluxe room on the 25th floor, with sweepin views as far as their eye can see. And it’s white. All white. A modern take on the typical drabby 5-star hotels we are all used to.

Oh – and there is a nice turndown gift from the Manager:

Plenty of amenities from robe and slippers to quality toiletries, a large TV with a host of channels, and quirky notes identifying things such as the mini bar and safety deposit box.

The gym and pool area is above average on the 5th floor and yoga mats are provided as well. I take advantage of this for a few ‘Sun Salutations’ before my day begins.

Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor and offers an array of delicacies both Western and Thai. One thing to positively note is that my double espresso with steamed milk on the side arrives within 3 minutes of ordering it.

There is a top notch restaurant Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant serving amazing – looking good (I don’t actually eat there), as well as a US burger joint, 25 degrees at the lobby level.

Great hotel, good service.
