A sister hotel to the Hilton Opera Hanoi across the road, I choose this hotel as the points and cash charge equates to only $40 US per night. A bargain since as a Hhonors Diamond member I get free breakfast and an upgrade to one of the few rooms with a balcony upon check-in.
This is my second stay at a Hilton Garden Inn; the first being in Gurgaon, India. My initial thoughts are a lack of consistency in the product as Gurgaon had suites, and I was put in a massive 2-bedroom suite (see earlier post in 2013).
Nonetheless, the service is wonderful, and the room is adequate, although this brand lacks basic amenities such as toothbrush and razors. They can be purchased in the ‘pantry’ next to the lobby.
Limited facilities – no pool, no Executive lounge. But there is a well equiped and ‘modern’ small gym adjacent to the lobby next to the elevators.
Breakfast is pleasant. The typical buffet of delicious assortments in a large, yet very empty restaurant.
A short stay, and off to the airport.
