As soon as I am dropped off at the entrance, I am blown away at this oasis in the middle of nowhere.
The is a delightful bright and airy hotel that has taken careful consideration of light, space, and beautiful interior design.
The staff upon check-in are friendly, and plentiful. I am told on my corporate that I have been upgraded to a deluxe room on the 7th floor (out of 12).
The room follows the light, bright, airy theme of the lobby and it is modern and equipped with all modern amenities including a Bose iPod doc, Nespresso machine, and 3 freshly backed chocolate chip cookies.
Over the course of the next 5 days I am practically living at this hotel as my conference is located here as well, ad in honesty there is nowhere to go nearby.
By day 2 staff at reception have remembered my name and I am constantly greeted by it at every interaction with them.
The gym and pool area is good, but the bathroom floor is constantly wet which poses a danger if you slip. The outdoor pool is lovely and an oasis from the heat.
There are 2 restaurants and a bar that I can see, and the food is to die for. I have already added 2 kilos to my light frame and will have to work on it to get back to my normal size 🙂
Would I return? Perhaps if I was here for work. The location is the only major challenge; that and the electricity turning off every couple of hours or so each day, which seems to occur anywhere in this part of the country.
