This is my first stay at a Hilton Garden Inn, and to be honest the room is no different than any other Hilton or the recent Double Tree I have stayed at.

I have been upgraded at reception to a massive King Suite – a two room well appointed area with 2 x 32 inch TVs, 2 bathrooms, and oodles of space.

As I enter I notice a personalised welcome letter from the hotel manager and chocolates and apples – a nice touch.

I quickly check out the terrace pool but decide not to utilise it due to the rain. The gym is next and it has a number of Precor machines.

I decide to order room service – 3 fillings toasted on brown bread which comes with fries.

I go to bed early and my wake up calls at 5am – argh but the staff at reception upon check out are lovely.

Oh – and there is even a breakfast box waiting for me for the drive to the airport.

A great, albeit too short stay!
