I am personally greeted by the assistant
front office manager upon check-in and told as a privileged Diamond HHonors member, I have been upgraded to a King Junior Suite – an what a beautiful room it is – completed with all my favorite Hilton amenities including Expresso coffee machine, TV over the bath in the bathroom, ‘Bose’ stereo, and balcony with a stunning view over downtown Beijing.

My first stop after settling in my room is the newly upgraded fitness centre with indoor pool. After a swim I relax in the steam and sauna rooms.

After my downtime I head to the Executive Lounge for drinks and a light dinner – all complimentary as a Diamond HHonors member. A delicious assortment of hot and cold items complements my merlot and dry martini.

I go to bed early in my King-sized bed after watching cable. I sleep blissfully.

Complimentary breakfast in the morning in the 2nd floor restaurant is a maze of delicacies – be sure to enter on an empty stomach.

All this for points plus about US$60. You can’t beat that!
