The Hilton Hanoi Opera is a beautiful ‘classical’ French-style building in the Opera area of Hanoi. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter, yet close enough by a 10 minute walk.

As a Diamond member, I am able to check in at the Executive lounge on the 7th floor.

I am given room 301 which is not an executive floor which I usually fine to Diamond members, but it is a very large suite with separate living room, bedroom, and 2 toilets.

I am welcomed with a large bowl of fruit, a beautiful bunch of flowers, and a hand-written welcome letter from the hotel manager – welcoming me back ‘home’. This is indeed a lovely gesture and most welcome.

A grab a couple of canapés and a glass of Merlot before the complimentary service finishes at 8pm, and fill the rest of my evening resting from the 2 flights and 45 can ride to get here, and before long fall into blissful sleep on the signature Hilton bed.

The next morning I enjoy a late complimentary breakfast in the restaurant on the 1st floor which in typical Hilton fashion has an abundance if local and international delicacies.
