So happy this plane, a Boeing 737-800, which has personal video screens – and they are free. Such a rarity these days when I fly Virgin.

The plane hasn’t even taken off yet and I am absorbed in SkyNews. Fingers crossed the free-view will last until after take-off for the duration of the flight.

Due to a storm cell over Brisbane all planes are grounded until further notice. Thank god for Foxtel.

Well, after waiting for an hour on the Tarmac it really is the case of THF ‘Foxtel’. During the wait flight attendants come around offering water which is a welcome touch.

The rest of the flight is uneventful and we land in Sydney 1.5 hours late 😦
