I am sitting in Business Class window seat 5K, on this Eva Air B777-300ER flight bound for Taipei.

Upon boarding I am offered a glass of sparkling wine as I adjust I to my seat. Shortly after take-off a pre-meal cocktail is served with mixed snacks.

For lunch I have pre-ordered a Shrimp and fried rice main, which comes after a scallop and salmon starter, and follows with fruit and chocolate cake. All is delicious. I pair this with a glass of 2014 Spanish white.

I opt to watch a few episodes of “And Just Like That” and even manage to sleep for a good 90 minutes in the fully-flat bed position undisturbed.

A highlight is the service. The flight attendant assigned to me is exceptional. Eva Air is a major competitor for SQ. Dare I say its slightly better?
