I am sitting in window seat 48A with 2 empty seats next to me on this Singapore Airlines Boeing 787-10 flight bound for Taiwan.

I have pre-ordered a seafood meal with arrives shortly after take-off and consists of a tomato salsa-like fish with vegetables, a roll with butter, and chocolate ice-cream. It’s not too bad.

I enjoy a number of drinks as well, white ‘house’ wine, a signature Singapore Sling, and a Baileys which the flight attendant brings me from Business Class.

I watch an action movie (can’t remember the title) and then lay down on the 3 seats for a deep 2 hour sleep before waking up shortly before landing.

The flight is overall very good (8/10).

The challenges being upon landing at TPE Airport. The 2-hour wait at the gate lounge for PCR results, the queues to get to immigration and the constant checks. It is a nightmare.
