Singapore Airlines had an amazing points redemption offer of only 10K Krisflyer miles for one-way Economy from Taipei to Singapore. I grabbed the fare and then 2 days ago I received an offer to upgrade to Business class for only TWD$12900 (about USD 435) considering one-way Business was being sold for TWD$29000 (USD 978) – so a no-brainer for me.

So, I am sitting in window seat 17A on this Boeing B787-10 SQ aircraft bound for Singapore. This regional business class seat turns into a fully-flat bed which I use for about 2 hours of this 4-hour flight.
Shortly after take-off, I am served a Grand Pineapple Daiquiri (a refreshing blend of rum, orange liqueur, topped with pineapple juice) and a packet of cashews and almonds.

Not too long after dinner is served, and I have pre-ordered book the cook in lieu of the inflight main meal. It is pretty good. I have this with a glass of 2017 Weinhaus Ress Riesling, Rheingau, Germany.

Dessert is equally as delicious and I have this with a shot of Baileys.

The service is exceptional. I’m not surprised as this is SQ-standard.
I watch ‘The Lost City’ which is super funny, before taking a nap for a couple of hours.
We land on time.
A great flight: 9/10
