Guest House Review: Life in Nature Guest House, Yilan, Taiwan

What a gorgeous, architecturally-inspiring guest house! Cedar wood, concrete, glass, and marble create a modern twist to a traditional Taiwanese home. Located literally on a rice field, and surrounded by water, this accommodation has about 5 rooms of various sizes and amenities.

On a rainy evening…

Our room on the 3rd floor is huge – with a stand-alone bathtub in the living room, separate bedroom and bathroom, sofa lounge, Nespresso machine, and TV. The 2 balconies at the front and back of the Suite provide sweeping views over the rice paddies.

Breakfast the next morning is buffet style in the kitchen cooked by a local chef. It is a mixture of local Yilan and Taiwanese specialties. The smoked duck is a standout dish!

A lovely stay and highly recommended!
