Flight Review: SQ 979 – BKK – SIN

I am sitting towards the back of the 2nd cabin in aisle seat 46C, on this Singapore Airlines A330-300 aircraft bound for Singapore. There is ample storage space, a good-sized non-touch AV screen, and surprisingly more legroom than I can remember on SQ Economy.

Upon entering the cabin and taking our seats, we are offered a warm wet towel and our pre-ordered meal confirmation. This evening I have chosen ‘Hindu Non-Vegetarian’. It turns out to be not very good – too salty and the flatbread too hard. The cabin is also too cold (I am feeling themes of ‘extreme’ on this flight 😳) and ask the flight attendant for a blanket. After 5 minutes nothing appears so I ask another attendant and finally it arrives.

Hindu non-veg

I watch a documentary on the history of musicals which is quite entertaining, before managing to sleep upright for about 45 minutes. I wake up with a stiff neck.

We land slightly behind schedule due to the late arrival of the plane in Bangkok.
