I found this accommodation on booking.com and chose it as it fit all my requirements – +/- SG50 p/n, swimming pool, good location, and breakfast.

And what a great choice. The property is set in traditional Balinese style – lush gardens, statues, fish pond, beautifully lit-up at night.

The room is basic, air-conditioned, with a king sized bed and mosquito net, and bathroom. There is no TV, so use the Internet to download a book I am currently reading, ‘Sapiens’ to read at my leisure.

The pool area is small, only a wading pool really, and offers massages in the meditation bale.

Breakfast is included in the rate and is quite substantial. No Indonesian offerings though.

Service is warm and friendly.

For SG50 a night you can’t go wrong with this one.
