I found this bargain on booking.com after a short search for a room with breakfast in the Silom District for under SG 55 a night, and this well-known hotel popped up at SG 104 nett for 2 nights.

Upon check-in I am warmly welcomed by very friendly staff and handed my key card to room 706, a large King with ensuite.

The hotel has a good-sized pool on the top (9th) floor, a basic gym which I don’t use, and ‘Alphabet’ restaurant which serves a simple American/Thai buffet breakfast (as well as main meals throughout the day and night).

Location-wise, it couldn’t be more perfect; a 3 minutes walk to Chong Nonsi BTS Station, and and equal walk to the excitement of Silom Road.

Highly recommended for a cheap, comfortable, friendly Bangkok stay.
