I am sitting in aisle seat 23D, on this Singapore Airlines Airbus A330-300 flight bound for Taipei. It is a rather full flight but again, I have 2 empty seats next to me, allowing me to stretch out comfortably.
Shortly after take-off, the onboard service begins, starting with a hot wet towel, handing out of menus, and aperitifs. I choose a signature Singapore Sling which is served with a packet of peas and crackers.
For my meal I choose the Oriental main, which consists of fish in Black Bean sauce. It is quite good and enjoy it with a glass of white wine. A mini Magnum ice cream is handed out later for dessert, which I have with a coffee.
Whist eating my meal, I watch a brilliant Korean movie from the extensive selection available from the Krisworld entertainment system, ‘The Dude in Me’ essentially about a 40-something hardcore gangster and a shy 17 year old high-school student that swap bodies after an accident. Funny stuff.
Service throughout the flight is good. My only negative comment would be the cold cabin temperature.
Although we take-off slightly late, we arrive ahead of schedule on this 4-hour flight.
