As we have arrived in Malé at 8pm, there are no speedboats to our resort until the next day, so we have pre-booked this hotel on booking.com for SGD 110 including breakfast and round-trip transfers.Check-in is slow, but friendly, and we are escorted to our room at the back of the small beach-facing hotel on the 1st floor.
It is a sparse, twin-bedded room, with a TV mounted on the wall, compact bathroom with shower gel, and aircon. That’s about it. The walls must be thin as earplugs are required.
A small balcony has a forgettable view.Breakfast the next day is a set-menu with coffee, juice, eggs, sausages, and baked beans. A persistent cat is also a receiver of a sausage or two. The view from the restaurant across the road from the beach is the best part.As it is only 10 mins from the airport and one of the cheapest hotels we could find, it is a good choice before the real holiday begins.
