Crowded, messy lounge above gate 57 at Narita’s Terminal 1. I walk in and am hit by crowds of travellers queuing up for a few pieces of sushi, jugs of beers, made-to-order noodles and curry, and glasses of Sake.
I think it is the only Star Alliance lounge at T1 so it serves all member airlines.
I manage to find a counter seat, pop my bag on the chair to reserve it, and wander through the mass to bring back a couple of pieces of sushi and a glass of sake. Followed by a tempura-covered soba noodle soup dish.
The internet quality is so-so, the ambiance dry, and the noise level too high. But there is nowhere else to wait at the airport so stay here for about an hour before boarding my flight back to Singapore.
