Hotel Review: Grandouce Otorii I, Tokyo

I arrive late at Haneda Airport and decide to stay close by (about a 5 min train on the Keihin Kyukou Line) and choose an Airbnb for the night. This hotel is really an apartment block with tiny 6 SQM fully functional private rooms, with shared bathrooms and toilets.

To enter the building guests are sent a map and door code as there is no reception. All communication is done via the Airbnb app.

The room is so small (I suspect there would be many complaints) but if you go with the proper expections for a $25 a night stay, you won’t be disappointed. Everything you need is there, from soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathrooms, to clean towels, sheets, and even a toothbrush.

Definitely not for long stay guests and really only for those with a sense of adventure. There is no door, just a black-out privacy curtain, and another pull-down blind to access your single bed.

With no TV, WiFi is strong so you can use your devices.

A simple, easy to find place to stay when you arrive late at Haneda Airport.
