I arrived unexpectedly early at the airport as the traffic wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be on a late Friday afternoon.

After a quick run through immigration, I make my way to the Miracle Lounge opposite gate D5 for a quick bite and some work.

I rarely enter this lounge, preferring the First class lounge next door but felt like a change. Massaman chicken and salad is on my list and decide it is a good choice. After about an hour of emails, I decide to leave and walk over to the Oman Lounge.

Great idea as the food here is exceptionally good. Middle Eastern delicacies abound – lady fingers, Babaganush, Hummus, olives, pita bread etc. And a glass of Chandon Rose tops it off.

After 30 mins or so I take a slow walk to the boarding gate.
