I am sitting in Business Class seat 1A on this Air India Dreamliner Boeing 787-8 aircraft bound for Mumbai.

I had read a number of reviews prior and my expectations as a result were not that high but I am pleasantly surprised. Sure it’s not SQ, but for the price it’s a bargain (about USD 800 return).

Upon sitting in my seat I am offered a glass of juice which I decline, I stead requesting a bottle of water. Shortly after the ame it kit comes and it is one of the best I have seen and even includes a bar of Sandlewood soap!

The meal service consists of a choice of vegetarian curry, chicken curry, or prawns, and I choose the latter. It comes with a variety of tantalising bits and pieces and it actually very good. The champagne (not sure what brand it is) is equally as good.

I begin to watch ‘Deadpool 2’ but start to feel tired so recline my bed into a fully-flat position and manage to sleep for a good 2 out of the 3.5 hour flight.

We land as per schedule. But are left in the plane for a good 10 minutes with no announcement as to why…
