Upon check-in my complimentary upgrade to an Executive Suite is confirmed. And what a huge suite it is! Spread over two sides of the end of the hotel on the 15th floor, the suite has two bathrooms, a huge living room, massive bedroom and even a ‘steam shower’. And the obligatory Nespreso machine.

As an Hhonors Diamond member we receive all the other perks as well – lounge access for afternoon tea and evening cocktails, breakfast in the main restaurant, and we also so use the pool and gym – which is basically like Fitness First – brilliant quality, clean, and loads of machines.

The staff are very friendly and professional, and even though this is a status run, makes for a great Staycation.
