On this final leg of my trip from HKG this afternoon, I am sitting in almost a mirror seat to the one I arrived on on CX – the first row of Economy again with nothing in front of me, in aisle seat 31H, but this time on a Boeing 777-300 Thai Airways aircraft.

Although we takeoff about 15 minutes late, we are soon up in the air and I pull out my ‘tiny’ AV screen from the seat only to realise it is not working. I call a flight attendant and she asks me to wait a few minutes whilst she re-sets it. Once on, I watch a British comedy (but forget the name).

I have pre-ordered a Seafood meal (I forgot) and it is the old favourite – seafood pasta, smoked salmon salad, and a cake-dessert. Not bad but way too full to eat it all.

For the rest of the flight I just relax, stretch my legs, and patiently wait until we land.

We land 15 mins ahead of schedule.
