Great to be back here again. I entered with my QFF Gold (OneWorld Sapphire) status although I am flying CX today.
It really is a lovely, bright, airy and spacious lounge. I start off at the bar and order my favourite Espresso Martini. Whilst this is being made I head over to the buffet and select a piece or marinated baked chicken thigh (skin on) and a cous cous salad. Both are delicious.
I decide to go slow and continue with a sparkling Perrier water before having a glass of 2015 Brokenwood ‘Cricket Pitch’ Cab Sav Shiraz Merlot blend – with a small piece of salted caramel cheesecake and chocolate pound cake. Yum.
As lovely as this lounge is, I don’t spend too much time here as I want to try out the new CX Lounge, The Deck, which is also closer to my gate.
After a relaxing and belly-fulfilling 40-odd minutes, I am off.
