Amazingly I have been upgraded to First Class on a Business Class redemption ticket win Thai Airways (Star Alliance) due to a small complaint I made after the aircraft changed from a new A350 to an older 747-400. Anyway, to cut a long story short (you can read my upcoming flight review), I am able to enter this lounge.

To be honest the Qantas First Class Lounge at HKIA and Changi and The Pier at HKIA are superior but the service here is exceptional. As soon as I enter an attendant asks with a smile where I would like to sit and then offers me a drink. A hot towel follows.

I decide to check out the buffet myself and choose a couple of snacks and a glass of French red.

Take two is a made-to-order Katsu-Curry rice and a half glass of cold Shochu.

All very good.

But I don’t want to eat too much as I am super excited about my upcoming FIRST CLASS international flight experience.
