I am sitting in aisle seat 7D on this Jetstar Asia Airbus A320 bound for Singapore. The seats are predictably narrow, with a tight squeeze on the legs. The cabin is freezing, which is not going to be good for my flu.
I am on a ‘Plus’ fare which includes baggage, a meal, and QFF points and status credits. I have pre-ordered a meal – Chicken Rice, but am told that it wasn’t brought onto the plane by the catering department, and now have to order something else from the menu. So I choose coconut rice with Sambal chicken instead. There is a stark contrast to what I receive versus what is advertised….
Due to congestion at Bangkok airport, out take-off time is delayed and we have to wait on board in the freezing cabin at least 30 minutes. And approximately 45 mins after scheduled departure we are off. Not a happy camper.
And on-time arrival doesn’t happen as a result – landing way past schedule at 4.05pm due, according to the captain in his announcement, to the fact that the airport is running at 50% capacity due to one runway being closed.
