This is my 4th or 5th stay at this hotel in the past 5 years but weirdly, it is always in the same room – 401 – an upgraded suite room with separate bath and shower, lounge room, and foyer toilet by the entrance.

Although the decor is slightly outdated, and in need of a light refurbishment, the bed is so comfortable and the pillows perfect. There is a small fruit plate with chocolates and a welcome card from the GM waiting for me in the room which is a nice touch.

After checking my room I make my way to the fitness area and do a quick 20 run on the Precor treadmill, and then slip into the Jacuzzi.

The evening cocktails and canapés has a solid selection of hot and cold local and international favourites, which becomes my dinner.

I sleep well, and the next day wake up and after another quick workout, choose to eat my complimentary breakfast in the restaurant on the 1st floor which is huge – a vast array of food spread out in different rooms within the restaurant.

The hotel’s location, friendly staff, and reasonable cash & Hhonors points rate means if I come back to Hanoi, I will stay here again.
