Hotel Review: Conrad Bangkok

This is my 3rd or possibly 4th stay at this hotel. This time, it is for a staycation to enjoy the lounge and breakfast. Small problem though, it is Yom Kippur (Fasting) which I forget at the time of booking on my Advance Purchase (non-refundable) rate.

Nonetheless I am able to enjoy an excellent selection of evening canapés and drinks in the Executive Lounge post 6.45pm (conclusion of fast), including real cocktails – yes, I have 2 vodka martinis which most lounges do not offer.

I have been upgraded to an Executive Corner Suite – which I believe is the same size as a Terrace Suite (without the terrace), comprising of separate living room, and bathroom with single basin, PlayStation, and 3 TVs.

One funny thing, as I connect to premium wifi in my room, a message pops up stating I have 97 more devices I can connect to my account. Well, that’s awfully generous!

I use the pool and steam room/sauna, all of which are crowded this weekend.

For breakfast the next morning I decide to eat at the cafe on the second floor. There is a short queue before I am seated in a fairly crowded dining area, but the selection of food is top notch.

Will probably do another ‘StayCay’ in the next few months.
