Stunning all-villa resort located about 15 mins from HKT airport.

After a reasonably smooth check-in, I am escorted on foot to my upgraded Lagoon Pool villa (#12) a short walk through lush greenery (even in the dark).

The room is well appointed, about 180 sqm (or so the website states) with an outdoor ‘sala’, king bed, and separate shower, toilet and outdoor sunken bathtub next to the pool. Absolutely stunning.

It is the little Anantara touches that make this resort very special. The bed is adorned with flowers and lovely ‘welcome’ messages; a note written on a leaf, the Bose Bluetooth speakers, the outdoor wine fridge stocked with wine, the mosquito lotion, the 4 different types of soaps, the 3 different types of bath crystals, the Nespresso machine, the yoga mats…….the list goes on and on.

And the service is exceptional. At every touch point throughout the hotel, be it the Executive chef at breakfast, the pool man, the security guard, the housekeeping staff – they always greet you with a smile. Lovely.

Breakfast is delightful, and although not a huge selection compared to other 5 star resorts, the food is fresh, replenished regularly, and of extremely high quality. The variety of mixed juices is exceptional. The location couldn’t be better, literally on top of the lagoon with ducks, carp, and the odd monitor lizard making for enjoyable entertainment whilst eating.

A lovely stay and will probably be back.
