I gain access to this lounge with a points upgrade on a paid Thai Airways ticket from Bangkok to Phuket for only 2500 miles. Utter bargain!

Not sure what is so silky-smooth and royal about this lounge – no alcohol, limited food, sullen service (reception is good), and crowded.

Until I find the indoor ‘garden’ area which is empty and bright.

I have 30 minutes before my short flight to Bangkok and and am starving so wolf down a few bits and pieces – probably too quickly, with a Coke Zero.

For a Business Class lounge at the airport of their home port, Thai Airways really needs to sharpen its product a bit more.
