Boarding is at 7.53pm for a 7.45pm departure. We are late – not happy. It’s going to be a late arrival in Bangkok.

I am sitting in seat 37D, and aisle seat in a 2-4-2 configured Airbus A330-300 Thai Airways aircraft. The theme music and video playing about, “THAILAND – once in a lifetime” is so annoying. They could turn the volume down a bit! Yes, I am tired and it is irritating. Thank god for my iPad with pre-loaded media so I can drift away from it all.

Rant over.

I have again pre- ordered a Kosher meal for this short return leg. It is OK. Tick.

My row of 4 seats is only occupied by myself and a fellow passenger on the other side aisle so there a 2 seats in between us. Tick.

This aircraft is equipped with video screens and USB charger. Tick.

Other than that it is an uneventful trip and the cherry on top is the bus ride from the plane to the terminal. And the 1.5 hour taxi ride home.
