Architecturally impressive hotel adjacent to Schiphol airport, we are upgraded to a large and bright corner one-bedroom Suite at check-in and thanked for our loyalty as Diamond Hhonors members.

The room is indeed beautiful, with a large living area and new ‘curved’ flatscreen TV, separate guest toilet, sofa lounge, and huge diamond-shaped windows with views of the airport and runway. The bedroom is also spacious, with a chaise at the end of the King bed, and bathroom with 2 basins, and separate bath and shower.

Unlike typical Hilton Executive lounges, this one has wine and beer available all day – not just during the small cocktail window in the evening. Canapés are served from 6pm to 8pm and additional spirits are also available.

The gym is small yet has all the equipment necessary, and the sauna, steam room, and small plunge pool behind the Spa area is well maintained.

As a Diamond Hhonors member breakfast is available either in the lounge or in the Bowery restaurant on the lobby level. We choose the latter and good choice as it is delicious.

With excellent guest service at all touchpoints throughout the hotel, this makes for a pleasant stay before a 16 hour journey back to Bangkok via Singapore.
