A warm check-in by a Japanese hostess is the highlight of this sparsely decorated lounge. I have read so many positive blogs regarding this new addition to the Oneworld Lounges at BKK but it really doesn't seem to add up.

The food offerings are very Japanese (think mountain bamboo shoots with mushrooms and Karage) – not for everyone's palate.

Nonetheless I try a tiny selection of offerings coupled with a glass of Japanese Rice Wine (Sake).

After 15 mins, I make my way to the Cathay Lounge to see if it is any better.
