I am sitting in 8D, a window seat, on this propeller-driven ATR-72 Myanmar NationL Airlines aircraft. It’s been a while since I was in such a small plane with just 4 seat per row in a 2-2 configuration.
Our flight is delayed approximately 30 minutes due to inclement weather, or so we are told. It is a bus ride to the airplane which makes the short journey to the capital, Nay Pyi Taw longer than expected. But surprisingly we land on time.
The seat turns out to be not too constrictive and I manage to stretch my legs out a bit under the seat in front. There are a selection of reading items as well in the seat pocket which I casually flip through until the seatbelt sign is turned off. When it does, out comes my trusty iPad for another episode of Outlander.
Whilst watching a small meal service including coffee comes around which consists of a snail danish and a chocolate brownie. Not bad. Passes time.
The view from the plane once out of the clouds is magnificent and I am lucky to catch a rainbow in the distance.
We land only 5 minutes behind schedule.
