Lounge Review: CIP Louis Tavern First Class Lounge, BKK, Departure A

Although I have been to the Louis Tavern lounges at this airport, it is my first time in this one (there are 6 here in total).

It is a relatively large lounge, and quite empty. Even though I am flying Economy, and not using Priority Pass, I am able to enter using the subsidiary card of my partner’s JCB card. It’s a pretty good benefit considering alcohol is included which is quite expensive in Thailand.

The lounge is in a different wing from my boarding gate, but decide to try it due to being told it is larger and somewhat quieter than the others closer to my gate, and I have a conference call coming up, so decide to give it a go.

It doesn’t fail. A glass of wine, some roast chicken and a couple of puff pastries get me into the rhythm, adding with strong wifi – I am a happy man.

I end up staying for about 2 hours before I board my flight.
