I probably stay here twice per year – great using ‘Money and Points’ rewards – approximately $200 SIN plus 24,000 points – nearly half the usual cash amount.

As a Diamond Hhonors member, we are upgraded to the King Centennial Suite on the 18th floor. I am not sure if they have one on each floor but I have been in this one before – complete with separate lounge room, with Nespresso machine, huge comfy bed, and larger-than-average bathroom.

There is a welcome letter, box of chocolates, and fruit platter waiting for us on our arrival, and I quickly fill out a laundry slip to receive 3 complimentary items to be pressed.

We spend half an hour or so in the lounge and enjoy a couple of glasses of Sparkling and a few canapés before leaving to make our way to the theatre to see the Singapore production of Les Mis.

For breakfast the next day, we choose to skip the lounge for Oscars, the all day dining restaurant for our complimentary breakfast. A huge selection complemented by friendly staff make the morning an enjoyable one.
