This is my first stay at a Hampton and it remind me of an Aloft (Starwood) or Ibis (Accor).
The staff at check-in are friendly enough but as the hotel has only been opened for 3 weeks, check-in is slow – very slow.
We finally get our keys and go to our room on the 5th floor. It is small and basic and does the trick – offering a cosy space with a very comfortable queen size bed.
Although we are Hhonors Diamond members, the only benefit is a drink or a snack for 1 pax at the bar. My partner decides on a red wine on Day 2 of our stay.
Our Hhonors profile states ‘not close to the elevator# but we are right next to it in room 511.
Location-wise it is a 7 min walk to the closest U-station, or a 20 min walk to Frankfurt Main Station. It is also a 4 min walk to a massive shopping centre.
Breakfast is included in the price and it is fine. Hot buffet and cold cuts/cheeses etc. I like it but my partner isn’t too fussed.
One thing of note is the gym – it is excellent and we use it on both days.
Would I stay here again if I came to Frankfurt? Probably not. The Hilton in the city looks far better.
