I ask for an emergency exit row seat at check-in and my request is accepted. Seat 11A is spacious on this Silk Air Airbus A319 aircraft with exceptionally friendly service from the 4 attendants on board.

As it is a short flight of only 1 hour 10 mins, breakfast service is efficient, with choice of hot or cold beverage and a chicken sandwich.

I spend most of the flight watching a movie on the new SilkAir Studio that streams to my mini iPad – catching up on an Indian movie I didn’t get to finish the last time. Incidentally I still haven’t finished but will be done hopefully on my return flight. The only letdown is that it intermittently stops for a few seconds as it buffers.

Overall a short but enjoyable flight.
